I hired a window company to install new windows in my house and they had advertised satisfaction guaranteed or your money back... Well they stated in the contract that the job would start and be done within 2-4 weeks.
It then took them 7 1/2 months to start it and it's still not done. Do I still have to pay them? As far as I am concerned they did not satisfy the contractual requirement of doing the job within 2-4 weeks.

Talk to a lawyer before you do anything, you can bet the window company will cause you grief with building leins if you don't handle it properly
