I use to cut myself. So deep i was in the hospital for about 2 weeks. And i always wonder, if people are stasfied cutting deep in to themselves. Does it make you feel better, like you can finnaly breathe? Or does it take away the pain.
How Do You Get The Satisfaction Of Cutting Yourself?
For me it was a mixture of things.
When I cut, I was focussing on physical pain and the act of cutting, that the emotional hell quieted enough for me to stop crying and hurting so bad inside.
When I saw the blood, it became a dare, will I die now? Its up to me if I cut deeper. I have control over whether or not I breath in five minutes.
It doesn't take away the pain, the pain is always there, it just gets shuffled back a bit, while u focus on your razor blade and your wrists, arms, legs, stomach etc.
Does it feel good? damn straight it does, compared to the other emotions that bring on the urge, it will always feel better.
Is it good? no, it doesn't solve anything
Your pains are still there, even if they don't show up as prominately as the scars do.

During a chemical change in extreme stress the lower brain sets up errors and then finds an adrenaline or endorphin pleasure. When the brain cools down it has to write a patch to make logic again of the world. One patch we call cutting.

Reply:my life was pretty screwed up as a teenager - I'd cut myself to take whatever out on myself instead of others - i was more angry at myself than anything else - my life sucked being in and out of foster homes and having crappy parents. Now that i am 26 and have two beautiful children i have to hide the scars - even on a hot summers day. I am ashamed and embarrassed and it is hard to get a job. Just remember that if you scar your self - you will have them for the rest of ur life. Your life will become better - but the scars will stay there. as the old saying goes: "this too shall pass" remember that on a crappy day and it will help you get by.l

i find cutting give me such pleasure, it realeases my emotions on myself instead of other people and so i dont lose any more friends... i used to do that, attacking ppl and then they hated me!
it helps to balance out the internal pain aswell. and sometimes i cut, just to know im alive! it gets to a point where i think its a dream (or a ******* nightmare) so i have to cut myself to remind me that its real!
i know cutting is a bad and unhealthy habit, but it really really helps!
and to all u ppl answering this question, if u have never cut, dont answer! some of the things u say are offensive! and dont tell us Self Harmers to just stop, because we cant!

What statisical analyzation method should I use to analyse job satisfaction survey?
I am creating a job satisfaction survey and an employee knowledge survey to test the success of a training program. Participants are asked to fill out a series of questions pertaining to their knowledge and satisfaction in their job. They rate each question on a scale of 1-7. I'm looking for a good statiscal analysis method to test the reliability of the data and also present it.

From this the three sigma levels can be worked out and also the 'trend' and 'shift' from the central tendency will give a clear picture from the bell curve you would have plotted. ok... i do find satisfaction in only 1 sugar free mix, unfortunately is not sold in the USA only in Latin America. is called clight (Latin equivalent to Crystal Light) the only difference?? it doesn't taste like a lab test. is actually so good. but only sold in Mexico and some latin America countries, i buy it on ebay and is so good.
Reply:I personally am allergic to aspartame, so I stay away from all man-made chemical sweeteners. Even splenda, it's still a chemical. I don't trust them. Everyone has cancer cells in their body, and this is the type of stuff that cancer feeds off of.. preservatives %26amp; chemicals. I think if more people said no to chemical sweeteners %26amp; preservatives, we would see less cancer.

I've owned a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic for 4 years. I've had absolutely no major problems with it and it has required little to no maintenance. The thing is bulletproof.
That being said, there are a couple of little things wrong with it. My power windows will only roll up/down with the driver's switch. Also, my rear brakes tend to lock up easily in the rain.
It's got 94,000 miles on it, and I'm expecting at least 94,000 more.

I know I do. It's just a good feeling that I got that icky stuff out of my pore. Yeah, I know, it probably makes it worse but I can't stand the fact that there is gunk stuck in my pores.
It is especially neat when it makes a little popping noise that you can actually hear and feel!

I'm wondering whether the majority of pilots, especially military pilots, find that after several years in the sky, their jobs feel mundane, routine, and mechanical. Overall, how satisfied are pilots with their jobs (in both the civilian and the military sectors)?

It really depends on the person and why they chose to fly in the first place. In my case, I love flying, love the science behind it, it is relaxing (although I remain vigilant and ready for anything!). It can be repetitive, but never mundane! Each flight is different, so there is always something new, therefore it stays exciting. Not to mention being in the air where people even 150 years ago would not imagine they would be! As far as the job goes, that is from person to person as well. Flying regional I get to be home with the family almost every night, but if I were doing a major airline job, there is a lot of time spent in hotels and other places around the world. They get paid more, especially because of Per Diem (paid time away from home) and airlines usually cover basic expenses such as food and lodging. Regional has shorter flight times, more per day, little less pay depending on your position, but you still get the same benefits as a major airline when it comes to being able to travel! Personally, I could fly Major and see the world, but I would be working... With regional I can go see the world on my own time with the family and air fares are very inexpensive and I even get deals on hotels! So in answer to your overall question, I am very satisfied, it is always fun, and the feeling of the forces when you go 80% thrust on take-off is a total high to me! If you decide to fly, remember one golden rule: No matter what happens when you are up there, your first job is to fly the plane. Engine goes out, PIC maintains a collected flight, let the co-pilot do the troubleshooting. Even had a cessna door fly open on a buddy of mine, he was freaked out for sure! I just flew the plane, told him to open the window and then close the door and then close the window...problem solved. Surprises happen, stay calm, and fly the plane :).

My ex boss flew for the Canadian Armed forces. He flew the CF-104, the CF-5 and the CF-18 and he loved every minute of it. If I had 20/20 uncorrected vision, I would have done it.
I fly small piston pounders and I probably will do so forever. I enjoy not having an overbearing captain to the left or an incompitant first officer to the right. I enjoy the variety as well as being home almost every night. I enjoy flying low and slow being able to take a look at whatever perks my curiosity at a moments notice. I enjoy letting a 7 year old girl take the controls and finding out she can handle a plane better than many adult students for the first time. The pay could always be better, but even when it gets to six figures it isn't enough.

I fly small piston pounders and I probably will do so forever. I enjoy not having an overbearing captain to the left or an incompitant first officer to the right. I enjoy the variety as well as being home almost every night. I enjoy flying low and slow being able to take a look at whatever perks my curiosity at a moments notice. I enjoy letting a 7 year old girl take the controls and finding out she can handle a plane better than many adult students for the first time. The pay could always be better, but even when it gets to six figures it isn't enough.

Maybe not so much in real life, but when we watch TV or movies, why do we get such a sense of satisfaction when we see the hero get his revenge, especially if the villain is really evil/bad?

It is the psychological certainity that has been achieved that a good person(s) can finally prove that all injustices done to to him/them will be done in reverse, to the point it is clearly communicated that they would not be tolerated again and will be retaliated equally or more, often eliminating the threat completely.
And there is this other human nature of wanting to feel powerful and invincible that often wants and expects something bad to be done, only so that now there is a reason to hurt in return and prove that he/she/they are stronger. Kinda like, we want villains so that heroes can exist, villains have to do bad things so that heroes can do the same (similar in some cases, but not the same, when what villain did was morally wrong, like rape) but actually feel good about it. Irony, isn't it?

Oh, and a boss and his chum who said (in my hearing) that this time they were going to hire a real looker to replace me got exactly what they asked for. She looked nice, couldn't spell, wouldn't proofread, and knew her union rights. They could not get rid of her. Justice.
I've seen justice happen enough times in my life, that I really don't go after revenge. I know God will eventually take notice of the cheats and scoundrels and give them what they deserve. I don't have to do a thing.

The borough of Las Condes (an up-market area of Santiago, capital of Chile) will implement a system next year to reward teachers with a bonus of as much as 100 percent of their salary if they meet proposed goals.
The bonus will be calculated based on four factors: satisfaction of the students’ parents and guardians, standardized test results for both the Simce and PSU, and supervisor evaluations.
Would this idea work here?

Perhaps. But here would be the problems I foresee:
1. Parental satisfaction. One of the woes that I've seen in the U.S. is lack of parental involvement in schools. Sometimes this is due to lack of interest, sometimes due to too little time from working parents to volunteer, etc. and be involved with the school. I don't know if this would work out to be a good measure then - or if a lot of parents would even respond.
2. Standardized test results: There's already a problem in this country of rote memorization being promoted so children will pass the tests - but not necessarily learn anything.
3. Supervisor evaluations: Evaluated by whom? Or just by the scores? This actually brings up an overall issue: By what standard are ANY of these criteria to be set?
I'm thinking this could work, but more specifics would need to be hammered out before it could be implemented. At any rate, it would be better than nothing, or whatever system we have now, where students just keep slipping through the cracks.

I have had jobs that paid great but I didn't enjoy them and in the long run I ended up hating the job and hated going to work, finding reasons to call out... can't make great money if you aren't at work.

I worked in many areas because it also, was and still is, the Home Depot I routinely shop, therefore, I knew about most items and locations. I never saw a survey, a cash register receipt with number to call, nothing for "customer satisfaction" info. Home Depot, Lowe's continue with increased profits, every year. I would say this is THEIR customer satisfaction indicator.
In today's world we live in a society of "negative" people. Why? Too many of us form opinions, not on FACT or PROOF, but what we want to believe. We "dwell" on the "problems" of others, only "seeing" and "hearing" the "bad", NOT willing to understand. "Losers" in life that come home and watch TV, only see "negative" news, maintaining their individual "boring" life. MOST Americans will, as soon as possible, call to report a "complaint" on an employee if there was a problem. HOW ABOUT those that go beyond expectations, do their job as expected, help in any way possible, DO WE on average get their name and make a "positive" call, NO!!!! ONLY when same employee makes a "mistake" in any way.
I did ask once about "complaints" our store received, by the way, I had none. We were a very busy store daily until late hours and averaged 15 daily complaints, only few in a week complimenting. Home Depots, I'm sure with Lowe's as well, are extremely dedicated to insuring proper "training" and "orientation" is conducted before anyone starts work. This is a 4 day event and is very "detailed".
Before I was a Home Depot employee I often wondered why employees were or seemed unfriendly. Informative if I needed help on an install but very brief, to a point of being NO help at all. Almost "robotic" in nature at times was my personal description of employees, NO personality with any, saying a simple hello to "cashiers" you would think you "bit" off their arm, BUT now I know these answers.
Here is what employees are "trained" to do at Home Depot. Never offer too much "detailed" information on any product, if so, and the customer has a problem or gets injured, LAW SUIT. Being overly friendly, i.e., "You look great today" (seen by some as a "suggestive", "pickup" move), etc. LAW SUIT. Allowing a customer to assist "holding" wood or a "rug" while cutting, LAW SUIT. Any "presumed" cuss word, as a "simple", DAMN a customer may hear, LAW SUIT. Every imagineable way anyone can "think of" to "sue" has been done and will continue.
Remember, Home Depot, as I now know, is extremely "wealthy" and "profitable". "Look" at "all walks of life" doing business, and as you "cruise" the store, concentrate on what YOU see for possible "injury" or just a "bruise". Many LAW SUITS presented daily to Home Depot stores, are often in the 'customers" favor, regardless if an employee is "guilty" or not. Last thing Home Depot wants is "negative" publicity, it WILL NOT hurt business, but put into "individuals" (low life's) heads ways to also "profit" in the store, if on the "news". Typically, cash settlements are "offered" and "accepted", lying customer got what they wanted, although, much less than originally "suing for", but know, in court they will lose.
Important to understand, "legimate" claims must be "dealt" with under the "laws" swiftly, agreeable by both parties, mainly the customer "injured" or "insulted". Legimate claims are those requiring services of a doctor, emergency, possibly a "cut". "Word of Mouth" claims (cussiing, insults) usually require a "witness", especially if employee is a "good" employee.
Hope this helps. If you speak to or request help from a Home Depot employee it usually is not the nature or character of that employee if seemingly "brief", not smiling, etc. it is the Home Depot way.

Here is what employees are "trained" to do at Home Depot. Never offer too much "detailed" information on any product, if so, and the customer has a problem or gets injured, LAW SUIT. Being overly friendly, i.e., "You look great today" (seen by some as a "suggestive", "pickup" move), etc. LAW SUIT. Allowing a customer to assist "holding" wood or a "rug" while cutting, LAW SUIT. Any "presumed" cuss word, as a "simple", DAMN a customer may hear, LAW SUIT. Every imagineable way anyone can "think of" to "sue" has been done and will continue.
Remember, Home Depot, as I now know, is extremely "wealthy" and "profitable". "Look" at "all walks of life" doing business, and as you "cruise" the store, concentrate on what YOU see for possible "injury" or just a "bruise". Many LAW SUITS presented daily to Home Depot stores, are often in the 'customers" favor, regardless if an employee is "guilty" or not. Last thing Home Depot wants is "negative" publicity, it WILL NOT hurt business, but put into "individuals" (low life's) heads ways to also "profit" in the store, if on the "news". Typically, cash settlements are "offered" and "accepted", lying customer got what they wanted, although, much less than originally "suing for", but know, in court they will lose.
Important to understand, "legimate" claims must be "dealt" with under the "laws" swiftly, agreeable by both parties, mainly the customer "injured" or "insulted". Legimate claims are those requiring services of a doctor, emergency, possibly a "cut". "Word of Mouth" claims (cussiing, insults) usually require a "witness", especially if employee is a "good" employee.
Hope this helps. If you speak to or request help from a Home Depot employee it usually is not the nature or character of that employee if seemingly "brief", not smiling, etc. it is the Home Depot way.

However the new One Touch Ultra Mini seems like a pretty good deal, and the meter is around 20 bucks. For me its about the size of the meter, because I don't want to be lugging a brick around in my pocket.

We have been having to waste a lot of strips because if the strip doesn't get enough blood immediately, it starts anyway and then says Er5 (error 5 - not enough blood). My son's other meter (Freestyle Flash) won't start the countdown until it gets enough blood so you don't have that problem. You can just milk the finger for additional blood and add it to the blood already in the strip.
They say that it only takes a tiny bit of blood, and I do like the way it really sucks it up and you can see it go in, but I think it needs more blood than the Freestyle or the Accu-check (which we have used for ketone testing only).

maybe having competent frontline staff and quality inventory would be a good start. every crappy tire store i go in to has minimum wage schmucks that are no help, and poor quality products that arent worth buying once you do stumble across them with no help... but they keep building their stores bigger to fit in with the likes of wal mart, spend their money smarter and theyll get ahead

Also, save that piece of paper in a file for about 7-10 years.
Reply:Technically you don't have to, but I think it's a good idea. Sometimes once a debt is collected agencies can be a little lazy when reporting it back to the credit bureaus. So I would send a copy to each of the three with a letter of explanation just to be sure.

Reply:Technically you don't have to, but I think it's a good idea. Sometimes once a debt is collected agencies can be a little lazy when reporting it back to the credit bureaus. So I would send a copy to each of the three with a letter of explanation just to be sure.

then you can send in a copy of the satisfaction letter.

Reply:I think it would be an excellent idea to send it to your creditors this allows them to see that you were successful in fulfilling your monetary obligation and should help restore your credit.
Reply:Send only the copy if it doesn't appear on the credit reports within a month. Never send the original!
