What can somone do during their life-span development to increase their levels of happiness and satisfaction?
There is a lot one can do to achieve happiness. Although, total happiness is not always a guarantee but we can make our life good if we want to. It's all in the choices we make.

First, you need to love yourself. That's one of the best gifts in life. Second, you need to find a purpose, something you really enjoy doing, you 've got to have a dream or life will be fruitless. Surround yourself with kind and positive humans. Because, unkind humans can really mess up the fun. Please, believe me. Oh! here comes a good one. Be grateful or you'll never and never be happy. Oops! I almost forgot, now I know why. It's nearly 3:00 a.m. that's why. Okay, here we go. Don't forget laughter. You must laugh, laugh and laugh again. To me life without laughter is like rice without the beans or the oreo cokies without the milk.

I hope this would help you.
Reply:The answers lie in the movie American Beauty.
Reply:get very lucky or not give a carp about what it is or isnt that may or may not make the individual we might be talking about whatever it is that makes him / her / me /you / us / them / happy . because we cant help but to be worried doesnt mean we cant help but to be unhappy .
Reply:Crush his enemies

See them driven before him

And hear the lamentation of the women
Reply:Do not set the sights too high.
Reply:To follow the path god lay down for us in the bible.
Reply:Set reasonable goals and achieve them. These small goals can be part of a larger one - for example, the overall goal is graduation from college, while the small reasonable goals are "I want to get a 4.0 this semester." Breaking down farther, "I want to get an A in this class," "I want to get an A on this test." Instead of your diploma representing one victory, it becomes indicative of hundreds, if not more, victories. Perhaps that is why so many graduates say, "4 years of work for a piece of paper?!" Although, if you asked them to throw it away, they would probably defend it to the death.

Happiness is being confident that you can meet your goals. Maslow called this "self-actualization."
Reply:Not care about what anyone else thinks and love yourself, as long as you go to bed happy and have no stress, meaning not worrying about what other people think.. thats happiness... when I go to bed at night its my home and my life so no one else can bring me down....
