How does it make you feel to know that most of the world rejects truth for personal satisfaction?

People treasure their illusions. One should not dis-abuse them of them because everyone is entitled to make their own way to their private hell or heaven.

How does it make you feel to know that most of the world rejects truth for personal satisfaction?
How does it make you feel to know that you could be totally wrong about what truth is? Maybe you are rejecting it right now and don't even know it! Thats right as you are reading this....look around for the truth.....are you rejecting it? I totally thought so.
Reply:Most people might be afraid of the truth or knowing that they are wrong.
Reply:They have the opportunity to think and act independently, if they are living in a relatively free society-so it should be -we all will reap the benefits or grief of decisions made by those among us.


Truth is relative to the individual's own set of criteria (experience, knowledge, personal outlook)in assertaining their own reality.

It makes me feel connected to the truth, deny this and you will lie to yourself about the nature of being human. Collectively we do and individually we do, even when we are aware of that we do .... we still do.

we realize





there is always more truth to be found.

Reply:This has been the state of humanity forever. It is depressing that people choose to be so self deluded, but it is what it is. Just watching American Idol auditions is a great example of this! People want what they want regardless of the reality of the situation.


But you only wanted to know how i 'feel', not what i think. Sadness and frustration are what i feel.

Reply:I agree not many live in truth they are too busy seeking their own personal satisfactions...these people try to speak of what the truth is and they live in the dark because they are so lost and do not know what truth really is!!! Their life is a total lie :))))))))))))))
Reply:A vague but intriguing question. One assumes you are referring to the truth as seen from your perspective. Whilst the truth is not flexible, it can look differently when viewed from different directions. The truth you are referring to is dispensed with in favour of the personal satisfaction as a matter of personal comfort and priorities. Sometimes other things are more important than the truth. How would it be if everybody was always 100% truthful? I would suggest that people "massage" the truth for their own sake and that of others.
