Do you get a big sense of satisfaction when you sit and enjoy your home you have just cleaned?

I just cleaned from top to bottom (well almost i still have to do my bedroom and hallway lol) and now im sitting down to watch a film whilst my dinner cooks. I love my flat when it's all clean and tidy!

Do you get a big sense of satisfaction when you sit and enjoy your home you have just cleaned?
They say its healthy (mentally and physically) to surround yourself in cleanliness. It brings peace of mind knowing you are in a clean environment. I could never understand how people can sit in bedrooms when they are surrounded by dirt and be okay with it. I just spring cleaned myself...so rewarding!
Reply:I love my flat when it's clean and tidy - but it rarely is! But when i DO clean out the place, my pleasure is always short-lived because once my husband and kids walk through the door everything is trampled on and shifted and all they think about is what's for dinner.
Reply:Most definitely! Also from looking at the washing line full of white sheets and towels, and a pile of just ironed laundry. Sad really, but there you go.

but then the boredom sets in cos theres nothing to do lol

Reply:Such a great feeling having a clean and tidy house. But I think its only the "cleaner" who feels good about it. My mother always said, housework is never noticed, until its not done!!!
Reply:Yes, brilliant feeling, same as when I've finished the ironing !!

I hate cleaning but, I get such a feeling of accomplishment when it is done. Then my son and husband walk in and reality hits

Reply:oh yeah i do have a sense of satisfaction but then i think how long will this last for which in my house is about 5 mins
